Welcome
Your First Visit
It’s been a while? That’s perfectly fine. Whether it’s been six months or six years, here’s exactly what your first visit looks like — step by step, no surprises.
What Happens Step by Step
Book Your Appointment
Call us on (07) 5445 8400 or book online. Let us know if you’re a nervous visitor — we’ll book extra time so there’s no rushing.
Arrive & Settle In
We’re at 2/64 King St, Buderim. There is onsite parking available, street parking nearby, and a bus stop directly out front. Arrive a few minutes early if you can. You’ll be greeted warmly and offered a seat. Deep breaths — the hard part (getting here) is done.
A Chat With Dr Louis or Dr Jeremy
Before any examination, your dentist will sit with you and talk. They’ll ask about your dental history, any concerns or pain you have, and what you want to achieve. This is your time to share anything — no detail is too small.
Gentle Examination
A thorough but gentle check of your teeth, gums, and mouth. We’ll take low-radiation digital X-rays to see what’s happening beneath the surface. Your dentist will talk you through what he sees, in plain English.
Your Treatment Plan
If any work is needed, you’ll get a clear plan with priorities, options, and costs. We’ll explain what’s urgent, what can wait, and what’s optional. No pressure to decide on the spot — take it home and think about it.

What to Bring
Photo ID
Driver’s licence, passport, or similar identification.
Health Fund Card
If you have private health insurance, bring your card for on-the-spot claims via HICAPS.
Medicare Card
For children eligible under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS).
Medical History
A list of any medications you take and relevant medical conditions. If you have previous dental X-rays, bring those too.
How Long Does It Take?
Allow about 45–60 minutes for your first visit. This gives us time for a proper chat, a thorough examination, X-rays, and a discussion about any findings. We don’t rush new patients.
Payment & Health Funds
We accept all major health funds with on-the-spot claiming via HICAPS. We also accept EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, and cash. Payment plans are available for larger treatments — just ask.
It’s Your Turn Now
You’ve spent years looking after everyone else. Whatever state your teeth are in, whatever reason you haven’t been — it doesn’t matter. What matters is that you’re here now. We’re going to help you move forward, not look back.
If you’re nervous about the visit, read our anxious patients page — it covers everything we do to make this easier for you.
